India’s Power Supply Deficit was 0.5 Percent in April 2017

In April 2017, India recorded a power supply deficit of 0.5 percent. 100,801 million units (MU) of energy was supplied against the requirement of 101,329 MU, according to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA). The supply deficit recorded in March this year was 0.4 percent, implicating a rise in the deficit.
