Oman National Engineering & Investment Co (ONEIC) signed a contract to implement the country’s biggest rooftop solar project, a 3.5 MW system, for the International Sea Food Company (Simak) at Duqm Special Economic Zone. Developed under a design, build, operate, and transfer model, the project enables Simak to adopt renewable energy with no upfront costs. ONEIC will finance, build, and operate the system for 25 years, delivering reliable, clean energy and decreasing Simak’s dependence on the grid.
