The Energy Ministry of Tunisia granted licenses to four international firms to build solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 500 MW for 1.2 billion dinars ($386 million). France-based Qair International SAS will build two projects with a cumulative capacity of 300 MW. French company Voltalia will develop a 100 MW solar project. Norway’s Scatec and Japan’s Aeolus will jointly develop a 100 MW project. The country aims to generate 35% of its energy from renewable sources by 2030.
