The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC), in a recent order, adopted a tariff of ₹2.28 (~$0.030)/kWh for the solar energy generated from 20,000 agricultural pumps under Component-C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) program.
